Armenian Voices septet
Created due to an interesting proposal coming from Mintaka Music (Ireland), Armenian Voices septet has made its first appearance with considerable success in Saint Florent Abbey near Angers (France) on January 22, 2012. More concerts of the septet are expected in November same year.
2011
Snow Cantata
On December 20 Hover Chamber Choir appeared with a premiere of Snow Cantata by Vache Sharafyan. The cantata was commissioned by the Ministry of Culture of Armenia. Initially, it was planned to have it performed with the color lights and animation set created by a talented American artist Kevork Mourad. This plan will be fully implemented later in 2012.
2010
A joint project with Trilok Gurtu (tabla)
On November 2 Hover appeared with a stunning concert together with a world famous tabla virtuoso Trilok Gurtu at the Eglise St. Eustache in Paris. The concert was organized by Mintaka Misic. Read more
Participation in the Polyfollia International Festival
From October 26 to November 1 , Hover Chamber Choir made a very successful and interesting appearances at the Polyfollia International Festival held in Normandy, France. The event is particularly known for most of international choir industry professionals visiting this festival and selecting the choirs they like for their own festivals, concert seasons and concert halls. The Journey
“Chanaparortutyun” cycle by Anna Azizyan is set for performance in May after two years of dedication by all participants of the project - composer herself, conductor, singers, script writer, stage designer and costume designer. The project was supported by the Ministry of Culture of Armenia
Missa Solemnis!
Notoriously most difficult work by Beethoven was prepared in cooperation with the Armenian State Philharmonic Orchestra and two other Armenian choirs. Conductor, a famous connoisseur of sacred music, Mr. John Nelson (USA). Premiere is set on March 13, at the Aram Khachaturian Big Hall. 2008
New recordings and more!
The month of October turns to be a recording month for Hover in 2008. On October 23 the choir is recording a new work by Vache Sharafyan “Lacrimosa”. Whilst on October 26 and 27 the choir is recording “Mubo” by V. Buchenberg. The latter work will be included into “Hover Anthology” to be released in 2009 together with a “Full Story of Hover” written by Natalia Harutyunyan.
Music Bridge Conference and Concerts
From September 5 to 15 the renowned choir from Hamburg “Collegium Vocale St. Petri” is participating in the “Sacred Music Bridge between Germany and Armenia” organized together with Hover Chamber Choir with support from WOEB Foundation and Goethe Institute, Germany. At the conference held in in Dilijan, Armenia the renowned Armenian musiciologists were present, such as Professor Araks Saryan and Professor Anna Arevshatyan. The young musicologist Tatevik Shakhkulyan impresseed German guests with a thorough report on ancient Armenian music. The choir from Germany also did three concerts in Armenia: at Kecharis Church, Vanadzor and Saghmosavank. The overall project was very much successful and is planned for continuation.
Madama Butterfly Full Opera Production
Hover Chamber Choir first time participated in the full opera production. This was “Madama Butterfly” dedicated to 150 th anniversary of Giacomo Puccini, which was staged due to efforts of the Armenian State Philharmonic Orchestra and conductor Eduard Topchjan. The performance was overall a huge success – instead of 3 planned 4 performances took place at the National Theater of Opera and Ballet in Yerevan.
Rodion Shchedrin Festival
Hover Chamber Choir made a perfect presentation of Rodion Shchedrin choral music in Armenia on June 12 with a pearl in the crown - "The Sealed Angel". Maestro Shchedrin loved Hover's performance very much.
Perspectives XXI Festival
On April 7 Hover Choir participates in the festival with performing Sacred Chorals of a famous contemporary composer Krzysztof Penderecki.
Evening commemorating Hrant Dink
On January 19 Hover Chamber Choir participated in the evening dedicated to memory of Hrant Dink, the Armenian journalist, editor of "Agos" paper, who was meanly killed last year.
2007
Armenian Folk Music CD released!
The end of 2007 year was enlightened with a long-anticipated release of "Armenian Folk Music" CD, which took place in Germany. The project was supported by the Flora Family Foundation. Production and promotion were arranged by Kultur Aktiv e.V. from Germany.
“One Voice” Festival in Dubai
Appearance with the leading soloists and the Armenian Philharmonic Orchestra musicians at the gigantic "One Voice" festival took place on November 20.
Festival in Poland
Two concerts at the XI Christian Culture Festival “Logos” in Lodz took place on November3 and 4. 2007
Tour over Germany
13 concerts all over Germany took place from September 26 to October 7. This tour was made possible through support from the WOEB Foundation and the Ministry of Culture of Armenia, with coordination from the Collegium Vocale St. Petri and Kultur Aktiv e.V.
Tour over Poland
On May 3 and 5 2007 Hover Chamber Choir made two very successful concerts in Poland and namely at the Gaudemater Festival and Rzeszow University.
Armenian Folk Music CD - New Recording!
The fist half of 2007 Hover Chamber Choir dedicated to the new recording – Armenian Folk Music. This project is supported by Flora Family Foundation, USA. The CD is expected for release in Autumn 2007.
Tour over France
On December 1, 2006 Hover Chamber Choir started its tour over France within the"Year of Armenia in France" program. 6 concerts in 6 cities - Paris, La Roch Sur Yon, Nantes,Marseille, Bellac, Fontevraud - had a huge success! The halls were full and the response from the French public was immense!
New Stage Costumes for Hover!
New staging costumes created by Anna Harutyunyan were first time introduced to general public on July 10, the opening date for "Golden Apricot 2006" film festival.
New Video from Hover
Started!
Due to financial support from the Ministry of Culture of Armenia, Hover were able to start work under a unique project - a video on Gyorg Ligeti's song "Alphabet".
Mozart Project
Completed!
Hover Choir twice made the presentation to general public one of the most beautiful choral works by Mozart - Mass "Vesperae solennes de confessore", KV 439.
Patarag Project

On April 26, 2006 a long-anticipated album of "Armenian Divine Liturgy" appeared at www.amazon.de Nearly 800 CDs have already been distributed free of charge among the leading and regional universities, music colleges, conservatories, international resource centres, libraries, agents and promoters as it was planned. Recording of a soundtrack for "Namous"

From June 1, 2005 Hover Chamber Choir of Armenia is working under recording of Divine Liturgy by Komitas. This titanic project has become real due to support from Flora Foundation, USA, and namely Professor Herant Katchadourian.
